AccessHealth was established in 1967 as Community Health Systems and as a demonstration health care project. CHS leased space from a local not-for-profit hospital in Beckley. Ten years later, CHS was able to move to its present location on Rural Acres Drive.

To address the continued need for similar services in Raleigh County and surrounding areas, AccessHealth has continued to grow and now operates satellite clinics in Daniels, Glen Rogers, Clear Fork, and in Beckley on Carriage Drive, Rural Acres Drive and Stanaford.

AccessHealth is proud of the fact that we have not strayed from our original commitment to provide quality comprehensive health care to residents of our service ares without regard to their ability to pay.
